TOWN OF BEDFORD
BCTV BOARD MEETING MINUTES
October 1, 2009
BEDFORD MEETING ROOM
Present were: Coleen Richardson (Asst. Station Manager), Bill Jennings (Station Manager), Mike Sills, Mary Lou Wilson (Vice Chairman), Dick Rawlings, Chairman Bob Thomas, Gene Mackie, Councilor Chris Bandazian (TC Rep) and Mike Robinson.
Chairman Thomas opened the meeting at 7 p.m. seeing there is no public input we will go on to Old Business.
OLD BUSINESS – Approval of Minutes from July 9, 2009.
MOTION made by Vice Chairman Wilson to accept them. Seconded by Mr. Rawlings. Vote taken – all in favor. Minutes approved.
SUBCOMMITTEE – UPDATES
Chairman Thomas mentioned the first one is Volunteer Recognition Night which was held September 10, 2009. Coleen would you like to talk about that evening. Ms. Richardson said I can if you would like. We held a successful Volunteer Recognition Night and had approximately 80 attendees. There was a full house and we did a Hollywood style red carpet theme thanks to help from Mary Lou Wilson we decorated the place and made it look like a theater type atmosphere. We gave out several certificates of appreciation along with a plaque for “Producer Award”, “Host Awards” and “Production Crew Awards”. We also gave a special recognition with a “BCTV Chairman Awards”.
Chairman Thomas said we sent out 180 invitations, 75 attendees, 17 plaques and recognized approximately 80 people with certificates.
Ms. Richardson said we had a lot volunteers who came up to us afterwards who were very receptive and thankful to be recognized and it was a fun evening. Everyone really enjoyed it. Mr. Jennings stated there was a lot of e-mail follow-up afterwards expressing their sincere thanks. As we discussed when we put this together you never know how it is going to turn out, but it turned out great. Mr. Richardson said one more item, Chris Bandazian was the best dressed, it was not black tie, but he came black tie so he over showed all of us. Councilor Bandazian commented my congratulations to everyone who worked on it and organized it, it was a great event.
Mr. Jennings said we actually had some request from people who said how important it was for them and they were asking for pictures with Coleen and me for mementoes. It means a lot to these folks. They work hard, they are volunteers and I was thrilled with the results. To Mary Lou who planted the seed to all of this.
Chairman Thomas said I had several people stop me at the stores asking what was going on at BCTV last week; I saw the lights out there.
Mr. Rawlings said a few friends of mine that I saw at Bedford Olde Towne Day and she was here as a guest of somebody and she said it was great and she really had a great time.
Mr. Jennings said it also showed that we had Town Council representation there and Bob Young came up to me afterwards and even brought it up to Bob and myself when we gave our presentation to the Council about what an enjoyable evening it was. Hopefully the Councilors that have watched it and those that were here, recognize how many people do volunteer down here and recognize how important this station is to part of their lives and also more importantly to the community. We know we will continue to get their support.
Chairman Thomas said on that note, the Board would like to thank Coleen and Bill for all the work you did that whole week, not only was it Volunteer Week, but also it was BOTD and we have a presentation for you. (presenting Bill & Coleen with presents). Ms. Wilson said everyone gets their award that is yours.
Mr. Jennings and Ms. Richardson said thank you to the board.
Chairman Thomas said we certainly got great publicity in the newspapers we were on the front of both papers in Town.
Chairman Thomas said the next item is BOTD another successful event. We had a super day for it and I got a kick out of the kids doing their 30-seconds of fame and that was a terrific idea and it was well received. I think it will be a staple.
Mr. Jennings said no doubt about it. We had a blast and what was fun, was not only the kids. The kids in Bedford are not shy, but the parents were getting a kick out of it watching the parents out of the corner of your eye. Ms. Wilson said I was watching it on BCTV and the kids were so funny. Mr. Jennings said we will do a little sample of it if you want me to do it now. Ms. Wilson said the little guy singing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” he was a riot.
Mr. Rawlings asked if the vendors came over. Mr. Jennings replied no not the vendors as they were too busy, but a number of the non-profit groups came over to promote their organizations. We actually had 59 individuals representing themselves, their organizations.
Ms. Richardson said I would like to recognize the board members that did come and participated, Dick came along with one of our volunteers Kip in the morning that helped us do the set-up which was a challenge with the wind. Then Bob helped out in the afternoon, thank you for your help we really needed it and we can use more bodies next year because it is a lot of work.
Mr. Jennings said that Mary Lou helped with the balloons ahead of time that made the booth look cool. Getting them in the car the next morning was a challenge. Mr. Sills said there is breakage in construction, but it is a little bit different with balloons.
Mr. Jennings said we had a number of people who came up and knew about the “30 Seconds of Fame” I have to thank both the local papers for doing a great job of advertising it. My hat is off to Jane O’Brien who emphasized in her articles that she thought the “30 Seconds of Fame” would be the most popular and it turned out to be. Some of the parents asked, how does my mother who lives in NY or relatives in general who get to see it. This is a little advertisement for the folks at home, when you type in www.BedfordTV.com you will come to our website and you will hit the program schedule and you will come to a particular page and click on Channel 16 and this takes us into the schedule. Now this ran last week, so this is important for the people at home, all you have to do is type in a search word; since it was Olde Towne Day and hit go. You will see right here (pointing to the screen) and even though it is not running now this is Video on Demand that I am demonstrating. When it was running on TV
last week I could have gone up here and watched Live and I could have seen it while it was running on BCTV. Again we have taken the shows to the internet. So people outside of Bedford can actually watch shows that are produced here in Bedford. I am going to click on view and I will open it up and this is our show.
Mr. Jennings said this gives you a general idea; we had a lot of groups and a lot of kids. It was fun. We are looking forward to doing this again next year. Gene was part of this as well he talked about BCTV and this was fun. Again for those parents who are watching if your relatives want to see the kids on TV again, www.BedfordTV.com and just follow the instructions.
Mr. Robinson said the kid who takes the 30-seconds to eat the ice cream that was so funny so just for that. Chairman Thomas said what would have been in the cutouts the bloopers was Bill trying to take the ice cream from him before he was going on the camera and the kid says, no but I want to eat this, that is okay, but you cannot have the microphone and eat the ice cream. Mr. Jennings said what you don’t realize it was clam chowder not ice cream. It was fun we laughed all day.
Mr. Rawlings asked on the message board could we put something on that for folks to get the instructions. Mr. Jennings said if you go to our home page on the website and the instructions show you how to do it. Ms. Richardson said, I think Dick is saying on the Bulletin Board could we run a slide saying of you missed BCTV 30 Seconds of Fame go to the website. Yes we can do that. Chairman Thomas said that is a great idea.
Ms. Wilson asked are we going to run this all year. Mr. Jennings said all year constantly? Ms. Wilson said will it pop up periodically. Mr. Jennings said yes. Ms. Wilson said I think it should be because it involves the Town and I think throughout the whole year it should be scattered in a week here and a week here. Mr. Jennings said we can actually do crawls underneath. When Coleen got through editing we did a piece with the Fire Dept last year on their Open House and this was in preparation for this years Open House. Because it is Fire Prevention Week next week and it says we advertise that it is this week and hopefully you will visit and this is what it is like. We have that streaming underneath saying “Don’t forget to attend Fire Prevention Week – Open
House at the Bedford Fire Department”. So we can show these old things and advertise it for what is up and coming. So we will do this again next year for the “30 Seconds of Fame”.
Chairman Thomas said that show would be perfect when it snows and we are all snowed in and you can show the nice sunny day. Gene you had a fun time being the emcee, or what were you doing there.
Mr. Mackie said it is the honor of being the emcee, although I think Jane and I thought it was going to be snowing early in the morning when we got there. It was a great event, the only thing that we have to do and in fact, I am joining with Jane to be on the committee for next year. We need something at the beginning with the raising of the flag and whatever to get organizations involved with participating with the raising of the flag. Jane does a tremendous job and I cannot say enough for what that lady does it is just dynamite and it was fun to be part of that again this year.
Ms. Wilson said don’t they have a ceremony where they raise the flag? Mr. Mackie said they were coming, but they backed out. Mr. Jennings said they did with the Boy Scouts. Mr. Mackie said she tried 4-5 different organizations and unfortunately they backed out. Mr. Jennings said the Fire Dept did it one time. Mr. Mackie said the Fire Dept this time couldn’t and usually the ladder truck is there with the flag, but because they were doing back-up they couldn’t be there. Mr. Jennings said they came down later. Mr. Mackie said they bring the bring ladder truck and a rescue truck later, but great turn out.
Ms. Wilson said what about the High School? Mr. Mackie said she tried there to. This year there seemed to be a lot of scheduling conflicts even with the entertainment. Again I do want to compliment someone who is a volunteer at BCTV, Phil Bruno. He is a really good entertainer and he is fun to talk to. He is interesting and he is truly from the Bronx, but now from Bedford. If you get to see him on BCTV or out there he is a great writer. Mr. Jennings said he did “Open Mic Broadcast” for a couple of years down here. Mr. Mackie said and Paul Bordeleau is usually part of the entertainment, but he had a scheduling conflict this year. The group that he brings and just by himself.
Mr. Rawlings said I did talk to NH National Guard but because it was race week their units were committee to the flag ceremonies at race week and that is what precluded them, but they did want to have a shot to be considered for next year.
Mr. Mackie said the children from Riddle Brook School, Ms. Munz kids. Mr. Jennings said good to see them back. Mr. Mackie said they did the “Star Spangle Banner” and we had the flag up and it was too late to call Sweeney Post. Ms. Wilson said sometimes it doesn’t work.
Chairman Thomas said we will move on to review of subcommittees. The first one is the Awards Committee and we talked about that with the plaques and awards and that was our Community involvement for the summer. So we will have to start a new effort in that.
Chairman Thomas said Viewership Committee any updates? Mr. Sills said it is time to write it up. I have talked to Janice at Harvest Market about some way to get a Bulletin type screen or at the Library. Bill did the Friends of Bedford Cemetery type of thing. There are a couple of new groups and I was wondering about the fellow who does the Military Hero’s. Ms. Wilson said Mike Robinson. Chairman Thomas said “Defenders of Freedom”. Mr. Sills said I would like to incorporate the local responders in it that would be the Police, Fire and the EMTs. Let me write something up on it. Mr. Robinson said you are talking about the Police, Fire and EMTs those are our local warriors and heroes. Mr. Sills said my wife’s accident was not that unique, but
we just do not see it any more. It looks easy for us if we have enough equipment and enough things on. So I am starting a little column this week and next week with thanking them. Everyone and their brother was involved in that just by accident.
Chairman Thomas said that is the perfect time because budgets are coming up and people forget about how important they are in rescues. Mr. Sills said in terms of viewership, I am not trying to be another “Trauma” NBC started that show this week. It would have that kind of tone to it. I do not know what the legal would be, so that is the other thing.
Mr. Jennings said that is a great idea and again it is a matter of time and certainly I hope someone will pick that up. I know Mike Robinson spends a lot of time on warriors, but if there is someone out there who is interested in producing a show and getting involved with the station to make that their project we would appreciate it. Mr. Robinson said I would second Mike and I would be a huge fan watching you do your own show on these people. Mr. Sills said I am thinking not so much interview. Mr. Jennings said I think it would be great he not only came up with the idea he is going to produce it. Mr. Sills said more towards the action part than the interviews, but I am not sure how to do that yet. Mr. Robinson said we will show you how to do it. We will make you a huge success
here in that arena.
Mr. Jennings said there is no doubt about it getting more focus on our local police and fire. We have done stuff with police & fire, but not often enough when you get into specifics and these guys are heroes in their own right. When you think about them getting involved with accidents and fires and just going in there. They do their job and they do not necessarily wave the flag out there. That is not bad getting under the surface. Not to embarrass these guys they have done some great things right here in our own Town.
Mr. Mackie said it is something to know that they are there when you need them. We live on a dead end street and there is one fellow who has had medical problems over the year and when you hear the ambulance at 2 a.m. to help out that family you know they are there. They are wonderful people.
Mr. Robinson said I will jump in here and leave it because my creative mind is thinking. You could actually go to the Police Chief and Fire Chief and ask if we can ride with you and we are going to be here a couple of hours and if a call comes we want to take the camera and go. That would show the true behind the scenes and events of our local heroes the Police, Fire and EMTs, so pick one and do it, that would be a great show.
Chairman Thomas said Bedford Cops. Mr. Sills said in my experience you have to make sure the groups are all there together. It is like a gift card for coffee for the Fire Dept has to be matched with one for the Police Dept so there is a need to balance the coverage of EMTs, but I have not figured exactly how to do that yet. Mr. Robinson said we will talk afterwards I have a couple of ideas.
Chairman Thomas said I know Chris you have to leave a little early so are there any updates with your group? Councilor Bandazian said I do not think so. Chairman Thomas said the police and procedure that we talked about the updates and that looked fine. Councilor Bandazian said that looked fine.
Chairman Thomas said Web Survey and Polling, Katherine couldn’t make it because of her class this week and she has her priorities correct there. We have to hold off until we get the new website and new things there. Mr. Jennings said I would continue to hold off. We saw some of the stuff today and it is pretty exciting, but we have to meet with them again as we are updating. Our site will be slick, but to discuss the survey right now would be premature. Ms. Richardson said that we did ask Brian Davis if that was part of the new website and he said yes that surveys will be a part of that.
Chairman Thomas asked Mike Robinson with Political Times coming up soon? Mr. Robinson said I have nothing to discuss tonight. I am sure there will be something coming up for sure. Mr. Jennings said some of that will happen really soon with Ray Chadwick with his show “Right from NH”. We kind of leave it up to those guys to handle it and he is actually handling it independently on his own right now. You have probably seen some of his stuff. Obviously representing the Republican side, so if the Democrats want to get their viewership hopefully we will see some of their volunteers down here doing this as well.
Chairman Thomas said under New Business, Bill your Manager’s Report, did everyone get a chance to read it, and it was one and a half pages short and sweet.
Mr. Jennings said again we talked about Volunteer Recognition and BOTD and we have covered that. In case you are not aware we spent a lot of time putting our budget together which we submitted to the Town Manager and I have sat down with him and he is putting his numbers together and he will present that to the Town Council. We then will have an opportunity on October 17th for the Department Heads to talk directly to the Council and give them our input and how we have justified our numbers. It is a public meeting. You can come in and listen to what is said, but public feedback will only be accepted on January 13th and January 27th when they have their Public Budget Reviews. This is a work in progress. As I mentioned Bob and I presented to the Town Council and
it is an idea that Russ Marcoux came up with a few years ago and it was great. We had about 15 minutes to talk about what the respective departments are doing and if they are Board governed we obviously have a representative from the board come in our Chair and I sat down and we say this is what has been going on and this is what we are doing and some of the things we have planned for the future. It is a great idea. In the past the Council really did not know what the individual departments were doing in detail, but now every department is given an opportunity it is great. We will be part of the graduation for 2010 for Bedford high School graduation and we broadcast a show out of here “Meet the Principals” which we do twice once in the fall and once in the spring and they give an update about what is going on in the schools and one of the things that came out was that they have a committee in place. I met with both the Principal and the
Vice Principal and said we would like to be a part of it. We will be broadcasting live out of the press box if it is in the field and if it is raining we have the gym set up. So we are part of that process and they have to take us into consideration in terms of how they set things up because we are limited in terms of our flexibility where we can put cameras, but they were excited about it. The Cardigan Experience, we talked about it, we had the camera crew up there for three days. They put the cameras in their backpack and they covered everything. The gentleman that was part of the program, John Beths actually has done some documentaries and he is going to be doing a piece with National Geographic. He has outstanding editing and camera skills. He and Paul Woodman see were the ones who did that. They also did a piece on Northeast Passage and understand that every student is invited if they wish, if they are physically challenged to
participate in the program and every year those that are challenged are given that opportunity to be part of the Cardigan Experience and Northeast Passages takes those and if you have never seen how an individual in a wheelchair goes up Mt. Cardigan which is a lot of rocks and steep this will be exciting. We are doing this piece independent of Cardigan. We will have some footage in there, but we actually did it separately. They came home on Wednesday night and went back up. It is already planned that they will use this piece as a special screening in the theater for all the 8th grade students. John is working on it and he is pretty excited about it.
Chairman Thomas asked is BCTV invited to that. Ms. Richardson said I am hoping that they will have one for the public as well. I said that as a past Cardigan attendee I would love to see it in the theater. Mr. Jennings said I am sure that can be done. There is plenty of room, but initially the first pass will be with the students and then we can talk to them about the plan for those who have had the experience before and those that are looking forward to sending their kids up there in the future. Mr. Robinson asked is the auditorium big enough to hold more than the 8th grade class so if they did ask parents to show up and the public for that one showing. Chairman Thomas said that is a school thing. Mr. Jennings said believes me, when I said it was for the students then
is just in the works.
Mr. Jennings said the rest of my report just discusses some of the programs we have been doing and again working with individuals. We have been working with non-profit organizations the Lion’s Club, the Friend s of Bedford Cemeteries that came out great by the way and it started running today. Again I would like to emphasize at home for any of our programs and again I hope everyone here is doing it. The Bedford Bulletin and the Bedford Journal have been super and they publish our schedule every week.
Mr. Jennings said video PSA programs are going for 30-60 or 90 seconds. So if someone wants to do a public PSA we invite anyone to come in and we can put you in a green screen environment with your message and logo behind you and you have 30-60 and 90 seconds to broadcast your message. Again we had a great day last Saturday, Mike, Coleen and I went out to the Manchester Airport where the “Wings of Freedom” tour was taking place and so for those who are WWII or enjoy learning about that era there was a B-17, B-24, P-51 and it was exciting and more importantly we had an opportunity to interview veterans ages 85-90. One gentleman had 35 missions in one of those planes and we are working on that right now.
Mr. Jennings said we now have color in our graphics that we introduced. Obviously the way that it is it opens up and you will see how it works. I would love to be able to have each individual when someone is speaking to have their name come up, unless we make that a full-time position it will not happen because the young people we have out there it is hard enough to manage every thing and they do not know a lot of the personalities that is why we come up close on the name tags.
Mr. Jennings said finally the PEG Media system that we have it is exciting we can down load programs from across the country, mostly from New England, so any programs of interest that we see that may be of interest to Bedford we will post them up and more importantly for our producers such as a regular production teams here if they want to post up their program they can upload it and anyone can retrieve their program as far as west at California.
Chairman Thomas said excellent.
Mr. Robinson asked with the covering the high school graduation and I am going to steal from Mary Lou’s thunder, you should probably set-up a 30-seconds of fame and have these kids come in and say something at the high school graduation either just before or just after. Mr. Jennings said if anyone wants to do that, be my guest because I will be too busy. Chairman Thomas said that could be very interesting. Mr. Robinson said I am just thinking like 35 years later to go back and see these kids speak and they are Bedford kids and they are graduating for the first time and it could be a nice tradition.
Mr. Jennings said that is when we would need one of you folks because Coleen and I will be knee deep in the live broadcast so we would not have time to do that. Ms. Richardson said you could set-up a camera in the hallway and grab kids and a volunteer could do that.
Chairman Thomas said review future meeting dates for 2010 it is that time of the year ago to plan for next year. The first Thursday falls January 7th and that would be our next meeting. It seems to be far enough from the holiday. The next one would be April 1st and then the next one is July 1st and there will probably be conflicts so I recommend that we move it to July 8th. The next one is October 7th the final one of that year.
Mr. Jennings asked who is up for this year. Chairman Thomas said I know you are going to need a new Chairman and Vice Chairman as I speak for Mary Lou for next year. If you do not show up you will be elected, that is a promise. Ms. Richardson said that would be at the April 1st meeting after the elections and hopefully the Council will have appointed the new members at that time. Chairman Thomas asked do we know who is up this year. I think I have one more year, I am not sure. Ms. Richardson said in 2010 the terms that expire is Bob Thomas, Dick Rawlings, Mike Robinson, Mike Sills, Bob Donahue and then the Council will have new reps. Chairman Thomas said so I am up next year. Ms. Richardson said for the Board members if you would like to renew the Town will
be contacting you and make sure you get your letter in that you would like to re-up. Mr. Jennings said for a board that meets only once a quarter. Ms. Richardson said they do ask you to fill out the form.
Chairman Thomas said at the next meeting let’s think about what we want to do for next year etc and any future goals or future programs and planning. In January we usually have “What we want to be when we grow up” type meeting to do some future plans by then because the budget will be done, not the vote that is in March.
Mr. Jennings said one of the things that we should do and it has always helped us is that our contract expires in 2013, but we normally start doing preliminary work and again we have a great relationship with Comcast, but one of the reasons we do and why the station has been successful is that we have looked at our 5-year plan and looked out to see how we can continue to grow and get better and set goals for ourselves. Certainly as we look to move from the digital to the high definition environment there will be some major changes to the way that we broadcast in terms of the quality, but also how we will be doing some of our broadcasting. Certainly as we look at survey’s and increasing viewership. We have community support and we have a plan in place.
Chairman Thomas said that has been the key to our whole operation we have done a great job looking out 5-10 years out in planning both strategy and financing and I am proud of that. Mr. Jennings said that is why I would like to see you continue as board members because we have done a lot together and we can continue to do this. Ms. Richardson said we appreciate all the support you have given us.
Mr. Rawlings asked with regards to that move from digital what kind of cost does that look like? Mr. Jennings said you are talking cost of cameras and if you look at these cameras there are such things called, composite, component and SDI and that is in terms of what we are right now a composite, if I want to go to component which HD can go over our SDI not to get into all this stuff, I would have to re-do all the wiring and get all new cameras here. Who knows if we will ever get an HD channel, but as resolution quality increases because of HD, I do see since we are a viable distributor of the TV product that we may have that opportunity. So it is not just changing the cameras. You are talking about changing cameras here and if I did that the potential cost of $8,500 apiece for the lens, hopefully
that cost will be down in a few years. Changing the cameras in the studio. Changing audio mixers. Changing the cameras that we have. What we are doing is we have a CIP is putting money aside each year for my capital fund reserve which is important that the Council continues to support us with our capital fund. As we continue to move down the line we will have that support. So it is going to cost probably anywhere from $75-$100,000 just to make that transition. That includes also our video server. The video server would have to be a HD server and right now it is a digital server. What I have with the vendor right now we can upgrade and we can get discounts as we trade in our older unit for a better unit. We already have in place the editing equipment that can do HD editing. On the high end, but cost do come down anywhere between $75-$100,000 and it could be potentially more. It is well worth the investment as we
continue to improve our programming and also distribute a lot of school and government programs.
Chairman Thomas said the expense in re-wiring not only the cameras, the servers, the equipment and then there is training and new software so it is quite a capital expenditure that does require fiscal planning. Just doing this room with robotics that was a plan we did many years ago and it was because of how we planned it. It also helped us with the contract with Comcast that we had plans for how we were going to use the money and when we were going to upgrade. That has been part of our success in negotiations with Comcast. Mr. Jennings said we must stay the course and continue to get the support.
Mr. Rawlings said just with the wiring issue, at my home when we had an addition built on when they put the cabling in the cabling that runs to that new addition does not support the video today. The cabling in the original house does, but what they put in doesn’t so there is no way to get to it. It really is a problem. I would imagine that you can pull those wires as slick as can be. Mr. Jennings said when this was all open we ran the tubes so all it would be to try snaking it through. It still does take some work.
Mr. Mackie asked under HD can you still broadcast low def programming. Mr. Jennings said yes. Mr. Mackie asked because when BCTV switches, I was wondering if that meant the schools had to switch to. Mr. Jennings said no.
Chairman Thomas asked if there is anything else. Mr. Mackie said I want to thank Bill and Coleen on behalf of the Manchester WWII Memorial Committee for broadcasting or cable casting the WWII Dedication Ceremony that MCAM did for us. I was very much involved with that event. It took a year of my life, but it was well worth it. As Mike and I both know these ladies and gentleman that are still with us some in their 80s and some in their 90s and many from Bedford who were Manchester residents when they went into the service they deserved the recognition that they got. I know it is Manchester, but if you have a chance to drive by Veterans Memorial Park at night you will see a new star in the sky it is a new memorial. If you go during the day the 12,000 names are on it. Thank you again
for broadcasting it and the people involved on the committee appreciated your help.
Mr. Robinson said Gene you did a great job with that organization and obviously the end result of the Memorial will be around for hundreds of years for people to look at these great Americans. Also Gene’s article that he writes on these great American’s, I cannot wait until the book comes out and I want a signed copy. He has dug into the history of these great Americans and everyone has a story and Gene has penned it nicely in the paper. I still have a couple of stories that I want to give him of a couple of guys.
Mr. Mackie said I have a video on and there are 12,000 stories in Manchester and everyone has a story even those who did not leave the states during WWII. I found it amazing when you talk to them the memories and it is almost like it was yesterday. I am working with the Union Leader they definitely check out the facts that I put in there as Mike does when he does the work or his show. They can remember back 60 years what happened at the beaches or the Pacific. There is one pilot, Bill Ott who is a B-24 pilot who lives in Bedford almost 90 years old and he remembers just about everything that took place.
MOTION made by Mr. Rawlings to adjourn. Seconded by Vice Chairman Wilson. Vote taken – all in favor.
Meeting adjourned 8:00 p.m.
