Who Needs Building Code Compliance?

The public need  for protection from disaster due to fire, structural collapse, and general deterioration underscores the need for modern codes and their administration. The mission of the Bedford Building Department is to provide the highest level of expertise possible to protect life, property and the environment through efficient and effective plan review and code inspections to ensure compliance with the minimum requirements of state and local codes and regulations.
