Property owners, contractors, electrcians and plumbers need to be aware of the EPA requirements for individuals doing any type of renovation work in buildings built prior to 1978 that are used ad homes, day care facilites and schools be lead-safe certified. This rule becomes enforceable on April 22, 2010 and the penalties are substantial. It is our understanding the EPA intends to make an example of any violater of the law.
