TOWN MANAGER
BEDFORD, NH
Bedford, NH (pop. 21,203), with 130 FTEs, a $21.6m GF budget, and a Town Council/Manager form of government seeks an experienced manager to administer all aspects of town government. The Manager is appointed by and reports to a seven member Town Council. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated expertise in budget and finance, personnel and labor relations, intergovernmental relations and economic development. Such candidate will also possess the ability to interact effectively with elected and appointed officials and the general public. A Bachelor’s degree along with 5 to 10 years of increasingly responsible local government management experience is required, a Master’s degree (MPA or MBA) and ICMA Credentials are preferred. A residency requirement within 6 months of appointment is set by charter.
