STOP & SHOP ROBBERY

On Saturday 11/12/11 at around 7:30 pm, a lone male subject entered the Stop and Shop supermarket located at 7 Kilton Road in Bedford NH and demanded cash from the customer service clerk’s registers.  The subject showed a black handgun in his waistband and apologized to the clerk indicating that he had just been laid off.  He was described as an unshaven white male around 5’7” tall with a stocky build.  He was wearing a dirty white pullover hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head.

Upon approaching the customer service desk, he pulled down a knit stocking hat with eyelets cut into it from his hairline to his nose to partially conceal his face.  He then placed the money into the sweatshirt pocket and calmly walked out of the store.  It is unknown if he had a vehicle waiting nearby.  Anyone that can identify the subject, or has information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Monahan at the Bedford Police Department (603) 472-5113.
