If you are still connected to the Bedford Dispatch Center, you may or may not know that we will be terminating the direct connect alarm service. Private companies have apparently sent out letters in anticipation of the termination of this service.
This is the official notification that as of August 1st the Bedford Police Department will no longer have the capability to receive direct alarms from businesses or residences connected to the Bedford Dispatch Center.
We maintain a list of several private companies that monitor alarms. (See below). As there are also many other good companies available, we do not endorse any company. The Bedford Police and Fire Departments will continue to immediately respond to alarms.
