Deputy Chief Daniel A. Douidi started his career in Law Enforcement in 1987 as a Part time Special Police Officer in Manchester New Hampshire.
In 1989 when Manchester was preparing for accreditation they disbanded their part time Officers so Deputy Chief Douidi left Manchester and joined the Bedford Police Department. Soon after he attended the full-time Police Academy and has been serving the Bedford community ever since.
Over the years he had climbed the ranks beginning as a patrolman. He served also as a Field Training Officer and a Pedal Bike Officer.
- Promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 2001
- Promoted to Patrol Lieutenant in 2005
- Promoted to Captain in 2007
- Promoted to Deputy Chief in 2018
In addition to being the Deputy Chief, he works closely with the Chief facilitating all operational and administrative functions of the Department. In the Chief's absence, he fulfills the role and responsibilities of the position of Chief.
While employed with the Bedford Police Department, he obtained an Associates of Arts Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Management.
Deputy Chief Douidi comes from a Law Enforcement family, as his Father was a retired officer from Manchester Police Department after many years of service.
The Deputy Chief resides in Bedford with his wife Cindy and their twin boys Alexander and Nicholas.
